Fully unified Ocasta web experience, direct tasks, and more in this month’s release

This month, we’ve unified Ocasta across web and app, introduced direct tasks, improved notifications, added AI-powered search answers, and made it possible to target banners to the right people at the right time.

Everything is now simpler, faster, and clearer — bringing communication, knowledge and action into one place so your teams can move with confidence in every moment.

Here’s what’s new.

Ocasta web — now all in one place  🧭

Last month, we brought Ocasta Engage and Ocasta Review together into one app: Ocasta.

This month, we’ve done the same on the web. Everything now lives in one place.

No switching. No separate experiences. Just one platform that gives your teams the knowledge they need, the checks they must complete, and the insight you rely on to improve performance.

If you use Ocasta Engage

Go to your workspace URL as normal:

yourorganisation.oplift.io

The navigation options are: Home, You, Search, Learn, Manage. Everything should remain the same.

If you use Ocasta Review

Go to your workspace URL as usual:

yourorganisation.oplift.io

The navigation options are: Home, Review, Tasks, Analytics.

The previous Start page has been renamed Review. From here you can:

  • Start a review
  • See scheduled reviews
  • View reviews in progress

Everything you rely on is still there — just clearer and simpler.

If you use both Engage and Review

You now access everything through one URL:

yourorganisation.oplift.io

There’s no need to switch between engage and review, and the app switcher is no longer required.

You’ll see a unified navigation which includes:

  • Home
  • You
  • Reviews
  • Learn
  • Search
  • Analytics
  • Manage

Access to the Manage page and visibility within Analytics works exactly as it did before.

The Tasks page (previously part of Review) is still available. You can access it by selecting See all tasks from the Home page (if enabled for your organisation), or by choosing See all in the Tasks section on the You page.

Bringing everything together removes the gaps between communication, knowledge, and action — so it’s easier to move from insight to execution without switching tools.

Create direct tasks ✅

Inspections & Checklist Hub | Observation & Coaching Hub

Until now, every task had to live inside a review. Now, you can create direct, one-off tasks directly from the Tasks page — in the app or on the web. See something that needs action? Create a task instantly.

You can assign a direct task to one person or up to 40 at once, with identical tasks created for each individual.  Each person gets an email, sees it in their task list, and receives a push notification straight away.

We’ve also introduced clearer filtering options on the Tasks page on the web:

  • All tasks
  • Direct tasks
  • Review tasks created within reviews. (You can still filter by review template)

This gives you a clearer view of what needs doing, where it’s come from, and who owns it — so nothing slips through the cracks.

Direct tasks are not supported in the old app you will need to upgrade to version 2026.02

Push notifications for assigned tasks 🏓

Inspections & Checklist Hub | Observation & Coaching Hub

When someone is assigned a task, they can now receive:

  • An email notification and/or
  • A push notification

This ensures they know they’re expected to take action — especially in fast-moving frontline environments where timing matters.

Admin users can choose to turn off task notifications or emails in the admin. Push notifications will be turned off by default.

AI answers in search

Knowledge & Learning Hub

Your frontline shouldn’t have to scroll through multiple results to find an answer.

Search now includes an AI-generated answer at the top of results, when relevant. It pulls together the most information and presents a clear, concise answer — so your teams can stop guessing and start knowing.

  • Automatically summarises relevant search results
  • Gives users a direct answer in seconds
  • Reduces time spent clicking between articles

This searches across your published news and articles and provides a clear answer to your frontline.

If you'd like this feature enabled for your organisation, just let us know and we’ll take care of the rest.

Target, schedule and archive banners

Knowledge & Learning Hub

Banners now work like news and articles in the CMS.

You can target them to the right people, schedule them to go live at the right time, and archive them when they’re no longer relevant.

All your existing banners have been migrated to the new format, so you can start using these controls straight away.

You’re in control of who sees what, and when — so your frontline gets the right message at the right moment.

Improved quality checks for kudos messages 👏

Comms & Engagement Hub

We’ve introduced new quality requirements for kudos messages to help keep recognition meaningful and impactful. Messages must now:

  • Be at least 20 characters long
  • Contain at least 3 words
  • Avoid 10 or more repeated characters

These updates encourage more thoughtful, specific recognition across the platform.

Reminder: New features released this month are available in the new Ocasta app only and will not appear in the Ocasta Review app.

The Review app will continue to be supported until 15 April, but no new features will be added.

You must switch to the Ocasta app as soon as possible.
