How do I view Tasks assigned to me?

Updated this week

Keeping on top of tasks is easy with Ocasta Review. Whether you’re using the web, the apps you’ll always know what’s assigned to you, what’s due soon, and what’s already been completed. This guide walks you through where to find your tasks, how to update their status, and how email notifications can help you stay on track.

How to view tasks assigned to you on the web

On the web, head to the Home tab and look for the Tasks section. Here you’ll see both your open tasks and any that have been recently closed.

If a task has a due date, you’ll see how much time you have left to complete it.

To see more details, just click on the task. You’ll get extra information like the description, due date, and any other notes and images. From here, you can update the task status:

  • To-do

  • Completed

  • Re-open a closed task

You can also leave a comment on a task. For example, you may want to ask a clarifying question or highlight a blocker that’s slowing progress. Anyone with permission to view your tasks can also leave comments.

Once you mark a task as completed, it will move to your closed tasks list.

To see the full list of tasks, click Open tasks or Recently closed tasks on the Home page. (You can also access this page by selecting the tasks page from the top navigation and select the "My Tasks" quick filter.) This will take you to the Tasks page where you can:

  • Manage tasks in detail

  • Filter between open and closed tasks

How to view tasks assigned to you in the apps

In the apps, you’ll find the Tasks section on the home page, with tasks listed in order of due date.

If a task has a due date, you’ll see a countdown showing the time left to complete it.

To see more details, tap the task. You’ll find the description, due date, and any extra notes. From here, you can change the status to:

  • To-do

  • Completed

  • Re-open a closed task

You can also add a comment — for instance, if you re-open a task, you might want to say why. Others with access to your tasks can also comment.

From the home page, tap See all to go to the Tasks page (or use the tasks icon in the bottom navigation).

On the Tasks page, you can:

  • Tap the filter icon in the top right and make sure My Tasks is selected

  • Filter to view open or closed tasks

  • Sort tasks by due date or when they were created

  • Switch to the Created by Me filter to see tasks you’ve created, check their progress, and see if they’ve been completed.

Email Notifications Task Assignment

If your organisation has task assignment emails turned on, you’ll get an email every time a task is assigned to you. Just click the link in the email to go straight to the task.

How to view tasks assigned to me on Ocasta Engage

If your organisation also uses Ocasta Engage then you will be able to see your tasks on the Home and You page on Engage.

On the Engage Home page you'll be able to see at a glance how many tasks you have open and how many of them are overdue.

On the You page you'll be able to see more detail as the 3 most urgent tasks (most overdue at the top/ due soonest) will be shown.

If you select See All from either page, on the Web you'll be directed to Review Web to view/complete your open tasks and you can view/reopen your closed tasks.

On the app you'll remain within the Engage app and will be able to see a full list of your open tasks. You can tap into each task to view further detail and complete a task, as you would on the Review app. You can use the filters to view your closed tasks, filter by due date or created date.

Displaying the task component on the Engage Home page is optional. You can choose to only show tasks on the You page.
